Review

Uncorked Wine Bar is located on Center Blvd in Snoqualmie Ridge -- home of several newer businesses including the new library, a burger joint, pub, fast food places, a hair place, and several other businesses. The wine bar offers a cozy little seating area, and provides a great atmosphere to grab a glass or two of wine.

I am not the best person to review wine, but I do have my favorites. Many wine connoisseurs -- well, at least one friend of mine -- states that "white wines are like cats -- they are useless". Well, I would disagree on both counts. I love cats and I do like white wines. There is one particular white wine that I am very fond of, and low and behold that wine was listed on the menu! Heaven for an "amateur" wine drinker like me. We were also impressed with the rest of the selection, my companion tried a red wine she had not heard of and one of the specials, enjoying both. The prices overall were reasonable, although slightly higher than I was expecting for the wine.

Uncorked is not a place to go for dinner. The menu is rather sparse, but offers some great appetizers and snack food. We tried the hummus plate and really enjoyed it. Other dishes that looked delightful included a cheese platter, salami platter, various salads, a couple of sandwiches, and various other appetizers. Everything is made fresh on the premises by a passionate ex-Navy chef. The desserts were fantastic as well. We had a passion berry mousse, which was absolutely fantastic.

The service at the wine bar was also worth noting. We were greeted by multiple people, all eager to please. We did not have to wait long for the wine and food to arrive. Additionally, we were also treated specially in two different ways. Firstly, I was lucky enough to get the bottom of a fresh bottle and received well over 6 oz. of wine in my glass. Secondly, the chef decided to experiment with a baked apple dessert that night, and we were chosen to be the samplers - on the house! We were greatly appreciative.

Directions

From the I-90, get off at exit 25 and head North on Snoqualmie Parkway. Once you hit the intersection at Center Blvd, turn left and park anywhere on the street. Uncorked is on your left on that first block.
